SORAA Snap is a magnetic accessory system for selected SORAA lamps. Lenses, filters and beam spreaders attach magnetically to the front of the lamp and allow the light beam to be modified without replacing the lamp itself.
With SORAA Snap accessories you can widen the beam angle, soften the light, create an oval or square beam, reduce glare or adjust the visual effect of the light. This makes it easier to adapt one lamp to different objects, walls, artworks or presentation areas.
No. SORAA Snap accessories only fit compatible SORAA lamps with a very narrow beam angle. Small Snaps are designed for MR16 lamps, while larger Snaps are used for AR111 and PAR30. Important: Snaps are generally only compatible with the narrowest SORAA versions, typically 8°, 9° or 10° beam angles. They are usually not suitable for 25°, 36° or wider beam versions.
A beam spreader is useful when a spot is too narrow or too hard. It can widen the beam and create a softer, more even light distribution. This is practical for walls, shelves, artworks, displays or areas where the original beam angle is too focused.
A round beam is suitable for classic spot lighting. An oval beam works well for elongated objects, shelves, tables or wall areas. A square beam can be useful for pictures, displays or architectural surfaces where a more defined light field is desired.
SORAA Snap accessories do not turn a standard LED into a full-spectrum LED. The colour quality mainly comes from the lamp itself. However, selected filters can change or enhance the visual impression of colours in specific applications.

First check the exact SORAA lamp type and size. Then decide what you want to change: a wider beam, softer light, oval beam, square beam, glare reduction or a specific colour effect. The accessory must match both the lamp format and the lighting task. For Snap accessories, also check whether your SORAA lamp is one of the compatible narrow-beam versions.
