In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste!
You can return used batteries that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our product range either to us at your own expense or free of charge to our shipping warehouse at the shipping address. Alternatively, you can hand in the batteries at local collection points.
As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries so that they can be recycled or disposed of properly. Used batteries may contain harmful substances which, if not stored or disposed of correctly, can damage the environment or your health. However, batteries also contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel and can be recycled.
The symbols shown on batteries have the following meaning: The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries containing a certain amount of lead, cadmium or mercury, the following abbreviations below the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol indicate the respective harmful substances:
Pb = battery contains more than 0.004 percent by mass of lead
Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium
Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury
